TROMPE L'OEIL DECORATIVE PAINTING STUDIOS

The home owner that commissioned this mural has a passion for enriching his home with custom details. The request was an ideal match of artist and client. First we created this sky ceiling as an illusionistic mural on the blank octagonal dome in the sitting room off the kitchen. The azure sky is dotted with clouds that we captured while watching the summer sky above the client’s home. Two cardinals in flight as seen through the window open out the space and add decorative interest. 

 

Second, we created a four-panel landscape mural of the tidal march in summer, painted in the studio on canvas and applied onto the framed panels on site with clay based adhesive. 

 

Together, the murals and painted decoration add an elegant and lively effect to a detailed interior architectural space.
