Who We Are
We're a team of artists, architects, decorators and painters. We started our business creating fine hand painted architectural decoration 30 years ago in Boston, Massachusetts. Trained in traditional techniques and historical styles, we've updated these traditions to blend harmoniously into contemporary architectural settings.
We are experienced with a diverse range of painted finishes, including trompe l'oeil ornament, architectural illusions, mural facades, faux marble, faux wood graining, architectural stenciling, and building decoration.

OUR TEAM
JOSHUA WINER, OWNER, ARTIST AND ARCHITECT
Joshua Winer is an artist and architect specializing in the design and painting of building decoration for interior and exterior architectural settings.
Mr. Winer graduated from Yale University with a Degree in Fine Arts with a specialization in Fresco Painting and from Harvard University with a Masters in Architecture. Mr. Winer became a licensed architect in 1989.
Mr. Winer founded Trompe L'Oeil Decorative Painting Studios in 1991. He work is recognized nationally and internationally. In 2018 he was awarded the prize for 'Excellence in Public Art' from the US Department of State for three projects in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
LIANE NODDIN, MURALIST
Liane is a gifted artist with extensive experience creating painted murals and building ornament. She works as Lead Artist, and is experienced in all phases of work, from preparation through installation.
Ms. Noddin has a BFA in Painting from University of Massachusetts Amherst and a MFA in Painting from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
CHARLES WILLIAMS, PAINTER AND STUDIO MANAGER
Charles Williams has 5 years experience working with Trompe L'Oeil Decorative Painting Studios. He manages production work in the studio and has worked on site on large scale projects.
Mr. Williams directs marketing and engages in public outreach.
MATTHEW MASON AND LAURA DENATO, MURAL ASSISTANTS
Matthew Mason and Laura DeDenato are versatile decorative painting artists.
They specialize in painting murals, trompe l'oeil ornament, and building decoration.
