The Harvard Square Mural

We designed and painted this 60' x 60' architectural illusion in the style of a French Beaux Art theater facade. The fool-the-eye technique creates a sense of three dimensional ornament by combining a one-point perspective rendering with cast shadows.
Artist Joshua Winer's training as an architect specializing in facade design provides the basis for skillfull interpretation of this period piece. Mr. Winer collaborated with architect Albert Knoepffler of ACK Architecture on this project.
