Painted Decoration in Historic Chateau Picomtal

Decorative Painting Techniques
Chateau de Picomtal, France

Chateau de Picomtal, a charming bed and breakfast in the French Alps, commissioned us to create painted decoration for the interior rooms, including guest  bedrooms, the dining room, the living room, the entry hall, and the conference room.

Our artists worked one month a year for 10 years, using the complete range of our decorative skills: trompe l'oeil woodwork; faux marble; woodgraining; murals; sky ceilings; stencil work; faux architectural ornament; and grisaille. Our work included original designs as well as restoration painting and conservation. The ensemble is rich with color, texture, detail and ornament.

We look forward to creating work like this for your building, whether it's a castle, a hotel, a restaurant or a home.

Visit Chateau de Picomtal's website to see more of our work in the castle. Owners Jacques Peureux and Sharon Halperin, personal friends of our studios Owner, Joshua Winer, welcome guests to visit and stay in the hotel.
